The 3^rd congress meeting of CPC of the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering (SMAE) was successfully held

On the afternoon of November 9^th 2017, CPC of the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering (SMAE) 3^rd congress meeting was held in International Conference Room in Liwu Building of Science and Technology. SMAE party committee, deputy secretary Hongling ZHOU presided over the meeting. Xianmin ZHANG, Dean of the SMAE, Gang JIN the CPC party secretary of SMAE, and 282 Party representatives from the faculty and staff members attended the meeting. The party secretary Gang JIN made a report to the general assembly. New SMAE party committee member and discipline committee member was elected by the general assembly. Yechun WU, Vice President of SCUT, was invited to attend the meeting.

VP Yechun WU congratulated on the successful convening of the party congress of the SMAE, and expressed full affirmation of the Report of the school party committee.

He made a six-point demands for the new school party committee:

First,we should improve the governing capacity constantly to fulfill the duties.

Second, we should give full play to the decision-making role of the joint conference between the Party and the government and implement the Three-Importance & One-Large system” rule of procedure.

Third, we should strengthen the construction of party organizations at the grass-roots level, select the leaders of the discipline and the head of the team as the secretary of the branch, so as to make the departments both academic and politically guided.

Fourth, we should strengthen institutional building, establish and improve incentives, focus on implementation and stimulate the vitality of our work.

Fifth, we should strengthen the construction of the Party's working style and a clean & honest administration, and the discipline commission should further play a role in the oversight.

Sixth, we should give full play to the trade union, the teaching congress, the student union, let these group participating in the govern school, and making the decision more scientific by the collective brainstorm.
