On August 6, the sixteenth RoboMasters Final Contest 2017 held in shenzhen. SMAE students, as main participants of South China Tiger Team, defeated the Shandong University of Science and Technology Team. The competition ended with the former claiming a 2-0 victory.

In May, South China university of Technology (SCUT)'s student team captured the first place in the Southern Division of the RoboMasters 2017 by defeating the Xi’an university of Electronic Science and Technology team, China University of Petroleum team and Harbin Institute of Technology team.

In the final contest, with the perfect corporation of one base robot and one hero robot, three infantry robots, one drone and one engineering robot , our team attacked the opponent and won the national championship.

This year, the SCUT robot team focus on developing interdisciplinary collaboration. The players are undergraduate students from the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering, School of Automation Science and Engineering, School of Electronic and Information Engineering, School of Mathematics and School of Business Administration.
