As a principal or a main participant, Prof. Ding has been involved in 6 research projects mainly supported by the National Science Foundation of China and the Science and technology plan projects of Guangdong department of science and technology. He was authorized for 10 patents. He published over 70 academic papers, among which, more than 30 papers indexed by SCI and EI.
