A delegation of Politecnico di Torino (PDT) visited SCUT on March 13 to  discuss the second-phase issues of the South China-Turin Joint Laboratory.

Led by PDT former Vice President Enrico Macii, the Italian guests were  received by SCUT Vice President Zhu Min, with principals of the International  Office, School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering and School of  Architecture attending the meeting.

After reviewing the previous collaboration and achievements made based on  the platform created by the laboratory, Zhu Min recognizes the two universities’  partnership as an important strategic alliance.

They now look forward to continue their efforts to expand cooperation in  student cultivation, faculty exchange visits and joint scientific  research.

Enrico Macii also indicated that PDT will increase its input to advance the  second phase of the program.

Co-founded by SCUT and PDT in May 14, 2015, the South China-Turin Joint  Laboratory is currently running at the end of its first phase, which started  from May 2015 until May 2017. Fruitful results were produced during this period,  with most of the cooperation conducted in academic fields like architecture and  automotive engineering through student exchange programs, scientific research  and workshops.
