On December 17, 2016, 4th IFToMM Asian conference on mechanism and machine science (ASIAN MMS 2016) and 2016 International Conference on Mechanism and Machine Science (CCMMS 2016) held in Guangzhou. The conference is organized by South China University of Technology. The Chairmen of the conference are Prof. Zhang Xianmin, Chairman ofIFToMM China, Professor of South China University of Technology and Prof. Huang Tian, former Chairman of IFToMM China.

IFToMM Asian conference on mechanism and machine science (ASIAN MMS 2016) is an international conference, held once every two years. Since the first IFToMM Asian Conference on Mechanism and Machine Science held in 2010, it had been held 3 sessions in Taipei, Tokyo and Tianjin respectively. And the CCMMS has longer history, and has totally been successfully held 19 sessions since 1982.

The Conference was most successful in attracting 178 submissions on addressing the state-of-the art developments in mechanism and machines. Undertook a rigorous review process, a total of 123 papers were selected and represented the contribution from the scientists from 8 different countries.
