1 Profile of the base
Founded in 2007 with the approval of Guangdong Science and Technology department, and evolved from the former Guangdong Key Laboratory of Electric Vehicle, the lab is mainly supported by South China University of Technology and Automotive Engineering Research Institute of Guangzhou Automobile Group Co., Ltd. Its primary research directions cover electric vehicle and its key technology, automotive structure engineering and optimization design, automotive computer simulation and chassis system comprehensive control technology, advanced power and transmission system and its control technology etc. There are currently 60 staff members, including 2 double-appointed academicians from Chinese Academy of Sciences.
