In June, 2015, Prof. Enrique J. Lavernia, the National Academy of Engineering member paid a visit to SCUT. The president of SCUT, Prof. Yingjun Wang and the dean of SMAE, Prof. Xianming Zhang met the guests.
During the meeting, Prof. Lavernia made a brief introduction of his researches, his research team and UC Davis. Moreover, he was awarded the honorary professor of SCUT, and discussed the future cooperation between SCUT and UC Davis.
After the meeting, Prof. Lavernia visited our school and gave a lecture on the topic of nanostructured metals and composites: from the nanoscale to the microscale to our students.
