On the evening of April 18th, as the second lecture of the “Classic Hearts” series of School of Journalism and Communication, Chen Haitao, deputy director of the Center for Cultural and Creative Studies at Dunhuang Academy, communed with the faculty and students with the title “Interpretation of Digital Media in Dunhuang Art Classics”. To explore the creative recommendations experienced by Dunhuang art under the role of digital media and the sharing process of modern society. Chen Haitao's Interpretation of Digital Media Interpretation of Dunhuang Art

Chen Haitao first discussed the location and history of Dunhuang, and clarified the importance of Dunhuang for the Chinese Silk Road and the study of art history and religious culture. Afterwards, the three themes of compassion can carry, intelligence can be communicated and beauty can be accomplished were combined with the cultural characteristics and historical background of different eras to interpret Dunhuang's cultural spirit in detail and demonstrate two digital animation culture and education.
