Program Overview
This program aims to cultivate talents who have a solid foundation, comprehensive qualities, certain innovative capabilities and engineering practice abilities, and who can apply and integrate high-level engineering technology and engineering management. Students are required to understand engineering technology and master modern management science. In terms of professional knowledge, they should grasp the basic theories and professional knowledge in fields such as geotechnical engineering, structural engineering, and disaster prevention and mitigation engineering,especially for those relevant in ocean engineering, understand the current research status of the major and the development trend of its engineering applications, and initially possess the ability to accurately identify problems in the above-mentioned fields, as well as the ability to skillfully use various analytical, computational and experimental methods for research and management. After graduation, they can engage in design, construction, technical management or other engineering and technical work.
The program's research interests are in Architecture and Civil Engineering.

Student Outcomes
Graduates of the Civil and Hydraulic Engineering program can skillfully apply theoretical knowledge to solve practical engineering problems, especially for those in ocean engineering. They possess the ability to independently analyze problems, the ability to communicate and collaborate, and the ability to proficiently use various analytical, computational and experimental methods for research and management, among others.
Entry Requirements
Master Programs: Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens and be under the age of 35.
Ph.D Programs: Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens and be under the age of 45.
