Program Overview

The discipline of Biomedical Engineering at South China University of Technology (SCUT) was established since the 1980s, and has now ranked among the top 10 in China. This program aims to enhance postgraduate students' scientific literacy and innovative practical abilities through a pioneering practical teaching framework.

The program's research interests are in 1) biomedical materials, 2) tissue engineering, and 3) nanomedicine/medical imaging.

Entry Requirements

• Master Programs: Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens and be under the age of 35.  

• Ph.D Programs: Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens and be under the age of 40.      

Fees and Funding

Tuition Fee

• Master Program: 32,000 CNY/year

• PhD Program: 40,000 CNY/year

• Chinese Government Scholarship: October 1 – February (following year)  

• Guangdong Provincial Government Scholarship (New Students): June 30  

• SCUT Outstanding International Student Scholarship (New Students): June 30
