报告摘要(Abstract):
Minimally invasive surgery (MIS), represented by laparoscopic surgery, is well accepted due to its benefits including less trauma, less blood lose, and shorter hospital stay. In MIS, surgeons operate with slender instruments under the visual guidance of an endoscope. The procedure is challenge due to the pivoting effect, instrument fencing, lack of distal dexterity and hand-eye seperation. Surgical robots, such as the da Vinci Surgical System (dVSS) would partially address these challenges. However, due to the high cost and little added clinical benefit, they are not widely adopted. For example, in China, the number of dVSS per hospital is less than 1%. On the other hand, surgical assistive robots, such as robotic endoscope, could well support the surgeons in tasks requiring less skills. They are economic and could be adopted much easier. In this talk, several novel robotic endoscope robot with intelligent human-robot-interaction will be introduced.
