Prof. Abdelkarim Abousalham from University Claude Bernard Lyon 1 (UCBL-France) visit our School

time: 2018-10-31

Prof. Abdelkarim Abousalham from University Claude Bernard Lyon 1 (UCBL-France) visited our School on October 30th, 2018. He gave two impressive presentations on “Biochemical and functional characterization of phospholipases D” and “Development of continuous and high throughput assays for measuring lipase and phospholipase A activities and/or their inhibitors” to the staffs and students from our University.

During the first report, Prof. Abdelkarim Abousalham first introduced the important role of phospholipase D in human physiological metabolism. Furthermore, he shared his latest research results and unique viewpoints on phospholipase D in the aspects of recombinant expression, enzyme activity detection methods development, structural analysis and amino acid function verification. In the second report, Prof. Abdelkarim Abousalham mainly focused on the principles and experimental design of high-throughput detection methods for lipase and phospholipase activity evaluation. At the end of the report, Prof. Abdelkarim Abousalham gave detailed answers to the questions posed by the teachers and students and had an in-depth exchange with them after the seminar (by Wang Fanghua).
