Prof. Uwe T. Bornscheuer, vice dean of the Department of Mathematics and Natural Sciences in University of Greifswald, visit our school at September 06, 2018. He give a presentation (Title:“Recent Advances in the Discovery, Engineering and Application of Monooxygenases”) to the staffs and students of our school in the Dongtang meeting room.

At first, Professor Uwe T. Bornscheuer introduced the basic theories and application of modern biotechnology, and emphasized the pivotal role of protein engineering technology in the future of industrial biotechnology and food processing applications. And then he showed the research achievement of his team in the discovery of novel monooxygenases P450, catalytic mechanism and enzyme engineering and catalytic application. Finally, Professor Uwe T. Bornscheuer encouraged the students to challenge the hotpots in scientific research field problems to discover the new finding.
