Prof. Muraleedharan G. Nair from Michigan State University visited our School on 8th May 8 2017, and gave a presentation with topic of Novel botanical drugs for inflammation and Alzheimer's disease at the DontangMeeting Room. Dr. Nair also discussed scientific project selection and paper writing with students at Shuangqiao Meeting Room afterwards. Prof. Nair was invited by Prof. Qunyu Gao from School of Food Science and Engineering, South China University of Technology.

Prof. Nair is a Senior Associate to the Dean of the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources and Professor in the Department of Horticulture at Michigan State University. He is an accomplished natural products chemist with extensive experience in mechanism-based bioassays, extraction, isolation, purification, structure elucidation and chemical synthesis of natural products. Dr. Nair is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC) and Chartered Chemist (CChem), UK, a Distinguished Faculty of the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR) at Michigan State University and Member of the National Academy of Inventors, USA. He is a peer reviewer of numerous scientific journals, reviewer of state, federal and international funding agencies, editorial and advisory board member of several scientific journals. He was the founder, partner and President and CEO of Natural Product Technologies, LLC.
