Recent research projects

He has been the project leader of 15 provincial scientific research projects, and participated in 9 national projects, and presided over the completion of 12 practical engineering projects. In 1996, he received 1 million CNY in R&D funds from Guangzhou Xinghua Environmental Protection Joint Venture and started to set up the Joint Research and Experiment Center for Environmental Engineering Equipment of South China University of Technology. In 2005, he started to preside over the project of 'Key Technology Issues in Chemical Production Wastewater Treatment' of Guangzhou Zhonglv Environmental Protection Co., Ltd (2 million CNY).  In 2006, he was in charge of the project of 'Soy sauce production wastewater treatment technology research' of Lee Kum Kee (Xinhui) Food Co., Ltd (6.7 million CNY). In 2007, He hosted the project of 'Demonstration of Combined Process of Normal Temperature and High-Efficiency Anaerobic Wastewater Treatment' of Science and Technology Plan of Guangzhou Environmental Protection Bureau (500,000 CNY). In 2012, He started the project of 'New 4000m3/d Wastewater Treatment Project' of Lee Kum Kee (Xinhui) Food Co., Ltd (7.2 million CNY). In 2014, Project of 'sludge biomass solid fuel technology research and development' of Shenzhen Yue Kunlun Environmental Protection Industry Co., Ltd (600,000 CNY).

Academic achievements

He has been devoted to the theory and technology research of efficient anaerobic treatment of wastewater, and has done more remarkable research work in hydrogen production, residual sludge reduction and stabilization of high concentration organic wastewater, etc. He has published 72 papers in domestic and international journals and obtained 5 invention patents and 5 utility model patents.
