Division of Water Engineering and Technology currently has 10 teachers, including 6 professors and 4 associate professors. The institute conducts research on new materials, new technologies and new processes in water pollution control and water supply and drainage engineering.

The main research contents: sewage (waste) water treatment technology, Deep treatment and reuse of wastewater; Wastewater environmental biological treatment technology (low-carbon and energy-saving biological nitrogen removal technology, POPs biological nanoparticles treatment technology and development and application of bioremediation microbiological preparation for water pollution); Electrochemical treatment technology; Urban water supply purification technology, water supply and drainage pipe network system monitoring technology; Design, development and application technology of new environmental protection adsorption materials; Treatment and disposal of sludge, municipal sludge dewatering and drying and resource utilization.
