Based on the growth and metabolism characteristics of algae and bacteria, Professor Xiao-ping Zhang established the immobilized algal bacteria symbiotic fluidized bed system for treating organic wastewater with high concentration by combining with the flow and mixing mode of fluidization. The microalgae were also transformed into biodiesel for further established a comprehensive waste treatment and resource recovery system.
