Title: Intelligent networks and systems – Part 1 Anomaly Detection

Abstract: Cloud/edge computing systems are of paramount importance for the success of many computation-intensive applications. Anomaly is one of the major threats to the reliability and stability of such systems. System logs, which record system runtime information, have been widely used for anomaly detection. However, existing log-based anomaly detection solutions are facing significant challenges due to the evolution of log statements and the imbalance of log data. In this talk, I will first show the new challenges faced by log-based anomaly detection. Then, I will introduce our recent works that address these challenges by virtue of advanced AI techniques, and make robust and intelligent anomaly detection solutions. Finally, I will talk about more research challenges and open issues.

主讲人简介：Dr. Yulei Wu现为英国埃克塞特大学（University of Exeter）计算机系副教授，在学术界具有较高的声誉，在国际著名期刊（例如IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications, IEEE Transactions on Parallel and Distributed Systems, IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing等）和重要会议上(例如Globecom, ICC, WCNC等)发表上述领域的论文100余篇。得到来自英国EPRSC、London Mathematical Society、工业界以及学校的Innovation Platform的多项科研资助。研究方向为智能网络与网络系统。
