课程简介 | 本课程着重于为学生培养学生对多媒体理论与技术的理解。本课程讲述最新的交互多媒体技术系统,其中包括不同类型的数据源、应用以及理论操作。本课程讲述的基本技术包括多媒体数据表示,数据压缩,数据检索,以及数据传输。完成课程后,学生可以对多媒体技术的基本概念有初步了解,以及对不同技术在不同场景下的应用有比较好的判断。 |

Teaching Objectives | On the completion of thecourse, students should be able to understand the fundamentalconcepts and make critique to the technologies associated withvarious multimedia data types such as image, video, audio,graphics and animation. |
Course Description | Thecourse aims at providing students with theoretical and technicalunderstanding on multimedia components and systems. The coursecovers contemporary, interactive multimedia technology systems,focusing on types, applications, and theories of operation. Basictechnologies such as multimedia data representation, compression,retrieval and communication will be covered in an integratedmanner. On the completion of the course, students should beable to understand the fundamental concepts and make critique tothe technologies associated with various multimedia data typessuch as image, video, audio, graphics and animation. |
