  1. 研究:能够基于科学原理并采用科学方法对与计算机相关复杂工程问题进行研究,包括设计实验、分析与解释数据、并通过信息综合得到合理有效的结论。

  2. 使用现代工具:能够针对与计算机相关复杂工程问题,开发、选择与使用恰当的技术、资源、现代工程工具和信息技术工具,包括对复杂工程问题的预测与模拟,并能够理解其局限性。

课程培养学生的能力(教学目标)

完成课程后,学生将具备以下能力:

  1. 对多媒体图像、音频、视频技术与其应用有基础了解。

  2. 对其中重点算法,如编码、压缩、数据传输等技术有一定了解。

  3. 能独立完成一个多媒体搜索算法。

课程简介

本课程着重于为学生培养学生对多媒体理论与技术的理解。本课程讲述最新的交互多媒体技术系统,其中包括不同类型的数据源、应用以及理论操作。本课程讲述的基本技术包括多媒体数据表示,数据压缩,数据检索,以及数据传输。完成课程后,学生可以对多媒体技术的基本概念有初步了解,以及对不同技术在不同场景下的应用有比较好的判断。

Teaching Objectives

On the completion of thecourse, students should be able to understand the fundamentalconcepts and make critique to the technologies associated withvarious multimedia data types such as image, video, audio,graphics and animation.

Course Description

Thecourse aims at providing students with theoretical and technicalunderstanding on multimedia components and systems. The coursecovers contemporary, interactive multimedia technology systems,focusing on types, applications, and theories of operation. Basictechnologies such as multimedia data representation, compression,retrieval and communication will be covered in an integratedmanner.  On the completion of the course, students should beable to understand the fundamental concepts and make critique tothe technologies associated with various multimedia data typessuch as image, video, audio, graphics and animation.
