On July 13th, the progress report on the “Research on the Correlation between Intestinal Micro-ecology and Health Effects of Traditional Dietary Structure in China” was successfully held in the University City Campus.The conference was hosted by Professor Lin Ying, the deputy dean of the college. Researchers from the PLA General Hospital, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Shandong University, Xinxiang Medical College and Beijing Quantitative Health Technology Co., Ltd. participated in the conference.

At the beginning of the morning meeting on the morning of the 13th, deputy dean Lin Ying made a brief review from the research content and subject setting and implementation points. Everyone has fully shared the latest progress of the project, the accumulation of research results and the cultivation of talents. At the same time, it has had a heated discussion on academic issues and formed a consensus: the research team should further strengthen the horizontal comparison with similar research at home and abroad, and strive to achieve more fruitful scientific research results. In the afternoon, Prof. Zhou Hongwei, Director of the Laboratory Medicine Department of Zhujiang Hospital of Southern Medical University and Dr. Chen Tianda, Director of R&D of Beijing Quantitative Health Technology Co., Ltd., specially invited to attend the conference for academic reports.

In the communication session, participants discussed in depth the correlation between intestinal flora and region, the detection of intestinal flora metabolome, metagenomic analysis and machine learning, and co-cultivation methods.
