On the afternoon of October 18th, our Party Committee and the Party Committee of the College of Computer Science and Engineering, the Party Committee of the School of Journalism and Communication, invited the head of the school's Guanye Committee and the former Party Secretary of the school, Professor Liu Shudao, to give a report on the construction of teacher's morality titled Huagong History, Chinese Culture and Chinese Labor Spirit at the B2-335 lecture hall of the University City Campus.

At the report, Liu Shudao interprets the historical origin and development of SCUT from the perspectives of history,  culture and spirit. Regarding cultural construction, Liu Shudao pointed out that SCUT are ready to develop hard power, but also have deep cultural soft power. Especially in our “double first-class” university construction and international campus construction journey, strengthening soft power is also the last word. The competition of first-class universities ultimately depends on cultural strength, and cultural environment construction is more important than natural environment construction.

Through the theme report meeting of the teacher's morality construction, it will surely further enhance the sense of honor and responsibility of teachers, so that teachers will become more consciously be good leaders of students to become talented , and strive to be four have good teachers, and make greater contributions to the reform and development of the school in the new era and the construction of “double first-class”.
