SCUT & University of Edinburgh Collaborative Research Scoping Workshop on Bioengineering
time: 2018-04-12

From April 2 to April 3, 2018, SCUT & University of Edinburgh Collaborative Research Scoping Workshop on Bioengineering was held at the the School of Biology and Biological.

On the first day, the Chinese and British scholars first briefly demonstrated their research directions and interests. Then through brainstorming, they gradually summed up the 12 major challenges on bioengineering fields involved in genome rational design, subcellular activity monitoring, and tissue engineering skeletons.

On the second day of the seminar, scholars of the two sides conducted a lively academic discussion on each major challenge by grouping round tables, and condensed a number of cooperative issues.

Vice President Wu Yechun pointed out that SCUT is building a world-class university, especially building an international campus in Guangzhou. We are looking forward to advancing more fields, higher levels, and substantive cooperation with the University of Edinburgh to achieve mutual benefit, and allow cross-cultural and interdisciplinary cooperation to bring more growth points to both schools.
