On the afternoon of December 28, 2017, the awarding ceremony of Yao Ruhua Encouragement Scholarship was held at B6-303 of the town campus.

First of all, everyone watched the electronic yearbook of Prof. Yao and learned about his life experience and achievements. Student representatives from all grades of bioengineering majors expressed their gratitude for the inspirational scholarship of Yao Ruhua, the well-trained college education, and the help from the college teachers and classmates.

Next, they also proposed some confusions in their studies and lives in the teacher-student forum. The professors gave their own unique opinions and positive suggestions. They said theoretical knowledge is the basis of all scientific research, and students should study based on the knowledge of theory during the college years.

At last, vice secretary Yi Zhen read out the list of winning students. He expressed his gratitude to Professor Yao for his outstanding contribution to SCUT and congratulations to the winning students.
