报告简介:

Satellite attitude control systems are designed to operate for many years with requirement of high accuracy, good performance, reliability, robust and energy efficiency. Reaction wheels are the key actuators in the attitude control systems and they can malfunction in operation which can result in unsatisfactory performance. It is critical to have a fault tolerant controller in place for such situations. In this presentation, the reaction wheel faults include most common problems of loss of efficiency and bias. They are modelled explicitly in the attitude control system dynamics and the physical interpretations are properly justified. Two classes of fault tolerant control frameworks are developed and various control designs are presented with theoretical justifications and simulation verifications with realistic satellite parameters. One framework is passive fault tolerant control and another is active fault tolerant control. Comparative studies and case examples are analyzed in details to show the difference, characteristics, and complementary natures.
