The 3rd Meeting of the 1st Session of the Key Lab Academic Committee
According to the relevant management provisionson key laboratories of Ministry of Education, 2013.12.29-30, the academic committee meeting of Key Laboratory of Autonomous Systems and Network Control of Ministry of Education, was held in SCUT. The meeting was divided into 2 parts: seminar, annual report and discussion.
2013.12.29, autonomous system and network control seminar was held, and invited 5oversea experts, including Professor Jie Chen (University of California, Riverside), Professor Wei Lin (Case Western Reserve University), Professor Minyue Fu (The University of Newcastle, Australia), Professor Jifeng Zhang (Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science, CAS), and Associate Professor Ling Shi (Hong Kong University of Science and Technology), and Professor Weizhou Su of SCUT, to launch reports, and made lively discussion on the frontier studyquestions.
2013.12.30, the academic committee meeting was held, conducted by Academician Tianyou Chai. Shuolong Peng, the vice president of SCUT, and Ye Fu, the deputy director of The Science & Technology Division of SCUT attended the meeting. Professor Hailong Pei, the director of the key lab, and the academic committee members including Minyue Fu, Xinping Guan, Jifeng Zhang, Yueming Hu, Zhendong Sun, Weizhou Su all attended the meeting. The meeting specially invited Academician Guihua Wei (Central South University), Professor Wei Lin, Professor Jie Chen, Associate Professor Ling Shi, Professor Yuanqing Li (Vice Dean ofSchool of Autonomous Science and Engineering, SCUT), Party Secretary Cunhui Zheng (School of Autonomous Science and Engineering, SCUT).
The director of the key lab made the annual report of the lab. The academic committee reviewed the 2013 open fund results of the lab and acceptance materials, and discussed on the improvement, acceptance work, development director, to make consensus as follow: firstly, the key lab had made great progress in talent cultivation and research, and formed the distinguishing research features;secondly, there were great improvements in experimental equipment and experimental house; thirdly, given had had the conditions to pass acceptance,the key lab had to condense achievements further from study, open to the publicand talent cultivation; fourthly, the university should provide much more support of sites and funds, to create conditions to pass the acceptance and run successfully.
