On the afternoon of September 7th, the 2024 MEM freshmen meeting and first class meeting of the Tourism Management Department of South China University of Technology was held in Room 109 of the campus building. The class meeting was chaired by MEM freshman class teacher Zhang Buhong, and attended by graduate academic affairs officer Gong Xiao and all MEM freshmen.
1. Welcome new students
Teacher Zhang Buhong opened the class meeting with an enthusiastic welcome speech. Teacher Zhang warmly congratulates and welcomes the new students, encouraging them to cherish the opportunity to continue their studies in China, work closely with their supervisors, help each other, closely integrate learning and practice, strive to learn, actively exercise, gain professional growth, and promote career development.
2. Get to know each other
In the self introduction session, 36 new MEM students vividly introduced their work backgrounds and interests, enhancing their mutual understanding in a lively atmosphere of laughter and joy. At the same time, they expressed their thirst for professional knowledge and beautiful expectations for the future.
3. New Heart Language
During the exchange speech, the students revisited Dean Wu Zhicai's message to the freshmen at the opening ceremony, feeling proud and honored to become a Chinese worker. Everyone expressed their desire to become a successful scholar, to jointly build a class that achieves success, to combine hardship and joy, breadth and depth, and friendship, and to uphold the college spirit of literature carries the message, travel leads to the future. In the future study and life of Dream Garden, they will appreciate the charm of culture and tourism, promote their own development, and write their own chapter in life.
The class meeting also held a class committee election, with Wu Yupeng, Zheng Wu, Zeng Xiao, Fang Yuanfei, and Huang Shaohong elected as the 2024 MEM class committee members, and Wu Yupeng and Fang Yuanfei elected as members of the MEM Friendship Council.
