The Guangdong Rural Revitalization and Tourism Big Data Engineering Technology Research Center (hereinafter referred to as the Engineering Technology Research Center) was recognized by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Science and Technology as the Guangdong Provincial Engineering Technology Research Center in 2018, with Professor Wu Zhicai from the Department of Tourism Management serving as the director. The Engineering Technology Research Center focuses on technological innovation, focusing on rural research, and is committed to enhancing the theoretical research level and technological research and development innovation capabilities of Guangdong Province, helping to build a strong province system for scientific and technological innovation in Guangdong.
The Engineering Technology Research Center aims to meet the practical needs of national and local strategies, serve the rural revitalization strategy, and through the deep integration of big data and cultural tourism industries, break through industry barriers, achieve deep empowerment of technology for the modernization and development of our province's cultural tourism industry, and make contributions to promoting Guangdong's tourism industry as a firm supporter and leader of Guangdong's comprehensive deepening reform and the modernization and internationalization of the national tourism industry, and building a theoretical Guangdong army and technologically strong army.
The Engineering Technology Research Center aims to create an influential research and development center for rural revitalization and tourism big data engineering technology, and cultivate new research and development institutions. It gradually establishes an observation point system for rural revitalization and sustainable development of culture and tourism, monitors rural revitalization and industrial development in a long-term, fixed-point, and systematic manner, timely reflects the current situation, structure, and trends of rural social development, grasps the dynamics of rural tourism development and the actual effectiveness of cultural tourism poverty reduction, provides decision-making basis for Guangdong's rural revitalization and cultural tourism poverty reduction, and provides important technical and theoretical support for China's rural revitalization strategy.
