In order to further improve the talent support system of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, fully leverage the function of introducing and cultivating talents, and attract outstanding young talents from overseas to return to China for work, the National Natural Science Foundation of China has implemented the National Natural Science Foundation Excellent Youth Science Fund Project (Overseas).
To this end, the Department of Tourism Management has organized a special forum for Overseas Excellent Youth and issued a sincere invitation to outstanding young talents around the world. 2、 Activity arrangement
Event Time: December 5, 2024 (Thursday) 9:30 AM
Event format: Online+offline (B10 South 109 Conference Room)
Activity content: Introduction to the college situation, experience sharing of overseas outstanding youth candidates
Related explanation: Young scholars invited to participate in offline conferences can book their own round-trip air tickets and attend on schedule. The school will reimburse the round-trip travel expenses of the invited scholars within the limit (relevant reimbursement rules can be consulted with the college), and provide accommodation and meals during the forum period.
3、 Application requirements
(The application conditions for 2025 shall be subject to the notification at that time)
1. Comply with the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China, possess good scientific ethics, and consciously practice the spirit of scientists in the new era;
2. Date of birth after January 1, 1985 (inclusive);
3. Possess a doctoral degree;
4. The research direction mainly focuses on tourism management or related interdisciplinary fields;
5. After obtaining a doctoral degree until April 15, 2025, one should generally hold a formal teaching or research position in an overseas university, research institution, or enterprise research and development institution, and have at least 36 consecutive months of work experience; For those who have obtained a doctoral degree overseas and have outstanding performance, the work experience requirements may be appropriately relaxed;
6. Obtain scientific research or technological achievements recognized by peer experts, and have the potential to become academic leaders or outstanding talents in the field;
7. The applicant has not yet returned to China for full-time work, or will return to China for work after January 1, 2024. After receiving funding notification, one must resign from overseas work and work full-time in China for no less than 3 years.
4、 Supporting policies
1. Appointment position: Professor based appointment, career establishment.
2. Salary and benefits: Annual salary of 600000 yuan, in addition to enjoying the school's social security and housing fund contributions of about 100000 yuan per year. At the same time, in addition to the sponsorship scholarship, it is divided into three levels: 300000 yuan/year, 200000 yuan/year, and 100000 yuan/year, with funding for 3 years. Those who excel in the assessment can receive another 3 years of funding. Namely: Annual income of 800000 to 1 million yuan (excluding college performance and research performance).
3. Housing benefits: A resettlement subsidy of 2.25 million yuan (including national and Guangdong provincial supporting facilities), and at the same time enjoy one set of housing on campus (which can be rented for many years and enjoy preferential rent on campus).
4. Welfare benefits: According to the professor's standards, enjoy various welfare benefits such as pension benefits for public institutions and public medical care.
5. Research support: The research start-up fund is 3.5 million to 5.5 million yuan (including national and Guangdong provincial support); Priority support is given to team building, doctoral supervisor qualifications, and ensuring the enrollment targets for doctoral and master's degrees. There is no limit to the number of postdoctoral recruits.
6. The college provides laboratory and office conditions necessary for scientific research work.
7. Authoritative expert guidance; Organize multiple rounds of application guidance at the college and school levels; Follow up and assist throughout the process, providing attentive service.
8. Enjoy preferential policies for personal income tax in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, which means that for talents who meet relevant conditions, if their personal income tax paid in Guangzhou exceeds 15% of their taxable income, the government will provide financial subsidies that are exempt from personal income tax.
9. Recommend applying for various national and Guangdong provincial talent introduction funding projects.
10. Children can attend the affiliated kindergarten, primary school, and secondary school of South China University of Technology.
11. By applying for the Guangdong Talent Excellent Guangdong Card, 14 talent public services such as household registration, children's enrollment, social insurance, home purchase, and car purchase can be provided in one go, and priority convenience services can be enjoyed in areas such as entry and exit, medical care, transportation, loans, and children's enrollment.
