Prof. Kam Hung is a professor in theSchool of Hotel and Tourism Management at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.She has been investigating Chinese behavior and psychology in tourism andhospitality for about 20 years, taking cruise tourism and luxury consumption asher primary research foci. She has had 150 publications in refereedinternational journals, conferences, and books, and received multiple awards.She has been ranked as the second most prolific scholar in the world in cruisetourism research in terms of first authorship based on publications in1997–2016 in the top six international tourism and hospitality journals She wasalso named as the World’s Top 2% Most-Cited Scientists (Single Year) in 2021,2022, and 2023 releases of the Stanford University-led compilation of citationindicators covering over 100,000 top scientists in the field of Sport, Leisure,and Tourism. She also serves on the editorial boards for multiple journalsincluding Journal of Travel Research, Tourism Review International, Journal ofChina Tourism Research, and Journal of Quality Assurance in Hospitality &Tourism.
