Aiming to thoroughly implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speeches on the construction of philosophy and social sciences, the symposium explored the path to build a disciplinary system, academic system and discourse system of public services with Chinese characteristics. More than 60 experts and scholars from over 40 research institutions and universities including South China University of Technology, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Fudan University, Nanjing University and Sun Yat-sen University, as well as representatives of journal institutions such as Management World and Public Administration Review and more than 500 teachers and students attended the symposium.

The symposium set up multiple sessions such as keynote speeches and sub-forum discussions. Zhang Yichen presented a report titled Technological Complementarity and Synergistic Gain: A Study on the Impact of Digital and Intelligent Dual Pilot Policies on the Equalization of Basic Public Services. Capturing the governance logic in the intelligent era, this study focuses on the synergistic effect of digital and intelligent pilots, empirically analyzes the internal mechanism of the dual pilot policy in promoting the equalization of basic public services, and provides targeted decision-making references for improving the equalization level of public services and optimizing digital governance policy combinations based on research conclusions.

The successful holding of this academic exchange activity not only showcased cutting-edge research achievements in the field of public services, but also built a high-level dialogue platform for experts, scholars and young students. Through in-depth discussions on knowledge production of public services in the intelligent era, the symposium further inspired academic insights and injected new impetus into building an independent knowledge system of public services and interpreting China's Governance.
