On May 24-26th, 2024, The 2nd Academic Forum on “China's County Governance and Co-Construction, Co-Governance and Sharing” was jointly organized by School of Sociology and Population of Renmin University of China, Research Center of Sociology Theory and Method of Renmin University of China, Research Institute of Chinese Modern Society of Renmin University of China, Beijing Research Base of Social Construction of Renmin University of China and Field Classroom Teaching Center of Renmin University of China. It was successfully held at Lide Building, Renmin University of Beijing Guancun Campus. This forum brought experts and scholars from all over the country together to discuss the new concept and new path of county governance and co-construction, co-governance and sharing. Professor Guan Bin and three doctoral students of SPA were invited to attend the forum and gave keynote reports.
The forum consists of two main forums and seven sub-forums. The topics of the seven sub-forums cover public services from the perspective of county governance, policy pilot and implementation in county governance, hierarchical structure and block relationship in county governance, organizational innovation and rural governance in county governance, government behavior and organizational process in county governance, county governance in ethnic and border areas, and time, space and subject in county governance issue.
The forum gathered outstanding scholars and practitioners in the field of county governance from home and abroad, as well as more than 100 invited experts, authors and off-line auditing teachers and students from Chinese Society of Administration, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Zhejiang University, Sun Yat-sen University, South China University of Technology, Nankai University, Nanjing University, Sichuan University, Jilin University and other universities. This forum provided an important learning and communication platform, and teacher and students of our college had extensive exchanges with well-known experts and scholars attending the forum, which further enhanced the influence of SPA.
