Lately, the Social Sciences Department of the Ministry of Education has announced the list of 2021 philosophy and social science supported research projects. SCUT got 3 projects approved, and ranked second in China.  Themed as “Analysis and Research on Higher Education Policy Based on Value Conflict”, the project by Professor Zhao Qingnian from SPA was approved as a post-funded key project. In 2021, a total of 20 major projects and 80 general projects were approved.

In recent years, SCUT has accelerated the development of philosophy and social sciences, and made breakthroughs in project management through comprehensively implementing the prosperity plan of philosophy and social sciences, and thus cultivating a number of major and key projects in related fields. From 2016 to 2021, a total of 40 major and key projects have been approved, the total number of which ranks first in China.
