On October 24th, 22 alumni from different parts of Guangdong gathered together in the "flower city" Guangzhou, having a one-day tour with the theme of public health. The purpose of the activity was to enhance friendship and communication among alumni.
The first stop of the activity is Guangzhou Hengjian Hospital. The Executive Director of which is Mr. ZHU Zheting, who got his bachelor’s degree in administrative management in 2008. Mr. ZHU extended a warm welcome to the alumni. He introduced that the hospital was founded in 2019, and set up departments in accordance with the direction of "comprehensive clinic pluse key specialty", aiming to building up a second-level general hospital with complete disciplines and distinct advantages of key specialties. Mr. ZHU shared his entrepreneurial experience, which echoed with a warm applause.
Then the alumni group visited Guangdong KAD Digital Health Technology Co. Ltd., where Ms. LIU Minya, a MPA student in the 2018 cohort, served as the Vice President of the company. Ms. LIU delivered the keynote speech themed "Brief analysis of national medical policies and opportunities for medical e-commerce under the post-epidemic situation", which was the highlight of the alumni tour. Ms. LIU systematically introduced the changes of national medical policies, the benefits of Internet and policy changes made to medical e-commerce, and introduced the operation mode of medical e-commerce based on the company's business and framework.
On this Saturday, we not only had a deeper understanding of the hottest information about hospital and internet medicine, but also enhanced the friendship through communicating and sharing. All the alumni said that they had a happy and rewarding day. Several students also participated in this activity, saying that they have broadened their horizons, gained a new understanding of their major, and more importantly, found more new possibilities in future career planning.
