The Unveiling Ceremony of SCUT Center for National Governance held in our school

On December 7, the unveiling ceremony of SCUT Center for National Governance was held in the School of Public Administration. MS. WANG Xiao, Party Secretary and President of the Guangdong Social Science Association, together with Ms. TAO Shaojing, Deputy Secretary of the CPC SCUT Committee, were present and unveiled the new plaque for the research base of social science of Guangdong Province — SCUT Center for National Governance.

The ceremony was hosted by Ms. TAO Shaojing. After the ceremony, Ms. WANG Xiao made a report themed the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the development of social science of Guangdong Province. She explained the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the CPC from five major points, that is, new achievements, new era, new contradiction, new thoughts and new plan. She encouraged those present to make great efforts for a modern socialist country by elaborating the “eight goals” and “two phrases”.

The participants also held a discussion meeting with regard to the following topics: the development of humanities and social science as well as project application.
