Challenge and Situation: Forum on Emergency Industrial Development of Guangdong Province successfully held in SCUT

On August 27, a forum on Emergency Industrial Development of Guangdong Province was held in South China University of Technology (SCUT), which was jointly hosted by School of Public Administration (SPA-SCUT), the Science & Technology Division of SCUT and Guangdong Emergency Industry Association. Scholars and experts in related field gathered and had an in-depth discussion around the topic of emergency industry development for Guangdong province.

In the opening ceremony, Prof. WU Yechun, Vice president of SCUT, expressed warm welcome to the participants and congratulated to the success of the event. He praised that this forum will bring new vitality to the aspects such as strategic research, policy recommendations and talent cultivation; Furthermore, it will  propose more valuable advices and promote the development of our province's emergency industry to a higher level.

Based on the work experience of EICGP (the Economic & Information Commission of Guangdong Province), LI Jingsi, Director of EICGP, introduced the practices and policies of the emergency enterprises in Guangdong province.

WENG Guanxiong, President of Guangdong Emergency Industry Association , also analyzed the problems that exposed in the process of emergency rescue, taking the disaster area that influenced by the powerful typhoon "dove" as an example.
