On February 25, the Third National Social Security Congress, hosted by the China Association of Social Security, was inaugurated in Beijing. The awards ceremony for “the First National Outstanding Achievement Award for Scientific Research in Social Security” was also held in the opening ceremony. Proceedings written by Professor YANG Yinan, titled as Research on the Reform of Postponing Retirement Age and Pensions System, won the third prize. Leaders and experts, including but not limited to HUA Jianmin (Vice- Chairman of the 11th NPC and Honored Chairman of the National Social Security Congress) and GONG Puguang (Deputy Minister of Ministry of Civil Affairs), awarded the certificates to the 12 awardees.

In the awards ceremony, Professor ZHENG Chenggong (President of the China Association of Social Security) read off the names of the awardees, and pointed out that the 12 awards covered the types of monographs, papers, and surveys, all of which representing the highest academic research level of the discipline of social security in our country.
The awardees of the First National Outstanding Achievement Award for Scientific Research in Social Security
It is reported that there were in total 42 application materials received in the selection phase of the First National Outstanding Achievement Award for Scientific Research in Social Security. After going through the procedures of preliminary examination, expert anonymous review, and academic committee review and so on, 3 first prize, 4 second prize and 5 third prize were selected. Proceedings written by Professor YANG Yinan, titled as Research on the Reform of Postponing Retirement Age and Pensions System, won the third prize. His research has started since 2011 and so far has published 8 articles in well-known journals including Journal of Financial Research, Chinese Journal of Population Science, and Finance & Trade Economics and so on. 6 articles were included in CSSCI, winning the second prize and the third prize in the ministerial level. Besides, 5 articles were reprinted by Journals such as Social Security System and Demography etc., 3 were reprinted by Chinese Social Sciences Net, and 1 was included in China Statistical Yearbook (2015). His articles were referenced for about 70 times.
