On Monday Afternoon, 19 December, Professor Rostane MEHDI, the Director of the Aix-en Provence Institute of Political Studies led a delegation visited the SCUT. The French guests met with the Vice-president Professor Min ZHU, along with the Director of the International Office Mr. Qingnian WANG and the Deputy Director Ms. Min YAO.

Firstly, the Vice-president, Professor Min ZHU gave a welcome speech and introduced the basic information about the history, key disciplines and the global partners of the SCUT to the guests. Professor MEHDI appreciated the kindly warming reception and spoke highly of the achievements made since the university was found. He addressed that the Aix-en-Provence Institute of Political Studies is one of the top Institute in France and shared a lot of common interests in terms of humanity and social science disciplinary development with the SCUT. Thus he hoped that both parts could establish long-term partnership commitment to explore the future development of the top disciplines together. Professor Min ZHU agreed and hoped that both sides could work together to set up an exchange platform as soon as possible to better develop academic research collaboration, strengthen students and staff exchange and further cement ties between the two institutes. Finally, both sides reached an agreed intention that by making the establishment of exchange students program and short-term visiting program as a starting pebble to pave the path for the future collaboration.

At the end of the meeting, both sides exchanged souvenirs and took a group photo.
