On the morning of December 19, 2010, the 6th Public Management Lecture Series hosted by SPA-SCUT was held. This time we were honored to have Prof. DING Yuan, the director of the Division of Public Administration of California State University- Fulton to give us a lecture topic on the Theory and Practice of U.S. Government Performance Management.
At 9:30, lecture started. Prof. DING used the brief review of U.S. government performance management history as the starting point, and analyzed the topic from theory, practice, research methods in depth. His humorous style of conversation, rigorous and realistic attitude toward academic research impressed all the audience and we all benefit a lot from that. After the lecture, the leader of school met Prof. DING and both parts pursued a constructive discussion on mutual collaboration.
Prof. DING got his Doctoral degree in 1991 from Northern Illinois University, U.S. He is now the director of the Division of Public Administration in Fulton California State University. And he is also a part-time Professor of South China University of Technology and Shanghai University of Finance. Prof. DING has twice won the California State University Distinguished Academic Achievement Award, OutstanDING teaching awards, OutstanDING Community Service Award, etc. Besides, in 2007, Prof. DING was once elected by the U.S. government as Fulbright Scholar, visiting in SPA-SCUT.
