On the afternoon of December 13, 2010, the 5th Public Management Lecture Series was held. This time we were honored to have Prof. WANG Dianli, the deputy dean of the School of Political Science and Public Administration of Shandong University. The subject of his speech is Regional Governance from the Perspective of Urban Integration - A Case Study of Shandong Cities Group.
Firstly, Prof. WANG used Shandong cities group as an example in conjunction with his recent research; from the development of the domestic regional development practice and research perspective, Prof. WANG suggested that we should pay attention to regional partnerships and network governance, promoting powers, responsibilities and interests combined; last but not least, shaping values and culture of integrating local interests disparity is also of importance for the regional coordinated development. At 17:15, the lecture ended with a big applause.
Prof. WANG Dianli, the deputy dean of the School of Political Science and Public Administration of Shandong University, the Deputy Director of MPA Center and the Institute of Urban Management and Public Policy. He once served in Chinese Journal of Public Administration as the executive chief-editor. His research interests mainly include urban management and public policy.
