The Dean of Graduate School of Cleveland State University visited SCUT

On the March 27, Professor Zhu Jianping, the Dean of Graduate School of Cleveland State University paid a working visit to SCUT. The head of the International Office, Graduate School and School of Public Administration met the guest and pursued a friendly official exchange on the mutual collaboration.

During the exchange, the leaders concerned of SCUT expressed welcome to Dean Professor Zhu, and hoped that both parties could continue to strengthen cooperation in related fields. As the special representative of the President of CSU, Dean Professor Zhu firstly reclaimed CSU’s positive willing of building up academic collaboration with SCUT, and then introduced the currently attained cooperation progress with high expectation of signing the official agreement in the middle of this year. Subsequently, the two parts made a further refinement on the MOU Draft, and reached a preliminary intention on the two schools carrying out joint Master Program and faculty exchange. Lastly, on behalf of the president of Cleveland State University, Professor Zhu officially forwarded the Letter of Invitation to SCUT, sincerely inviting the principal of related agencies to visit CSU at proper time of this year.

It is reported that, before dean Professor Zhu's visit, In April and December of 2011, the former Vice-President, Professor Edward Hill and Assistant Professor Qian Haifeng had visited SCUT for twice, and reached a preliminary intention on the “2+2”undergraduates cooperation program. Currently, the preliminary work on the courses identification of the joint program has been accomplished smoothly.
