From May 18 to May 22, the delegation from the Faculty of Technology, Policy and Management, Technische Universiteit Delft (Netherlands) visited the school of Public Administration, South China University of Technology. It is reported that the TU-Delft’s visit to SCUT aims to establish the joint research institute covering some related disciplines of the mutual parts.
On the afternoon of May 18, the representative of both parties held an academic forum at NO.5 building; and some graduates, undergraduates of School of Public Administration also attended the forum. During the exchange, the vice- dean of SPA-SCUT Prof. Fan expressed warm welcome to the delegation, and then made a short introduction of SPA-SCUT and hoped that both parties could strengthen cooperation in related fields in the near future. After that, Professor Martin presented an introduction about the development and construction of the TU-Delft and its Faculty of Technology, Policy and Management. The other 3 professor from TU-Delft also forward their self-introduction, respectively. Subsequently, Dr. Qiqi Zhou made a brief presentation about their current study——the Decision Making Gaming System, showing the usage、application and prospects of the system, which left a deep impression on the professors and students. In the following days, the professors from two universities pursued a series of warm and friendly group discussion with topics on common interests and exchange programs.
It is reported that TU-Delft is a university of technology with a great international reputation of the MIT in Europe. The faculties at TU Delft are internationally recognized as being among the best in their respective field, in terms of education, research and design. Expectedly, the cooperation with the TU-Delft will further promote the internationalization of SPA-SCUT in the future.
