SPA & HRSSB set up joint Public Administration Teaching & Research Practice Base

On the morning of March 20, 2014, WU Zhi, Secretary of the Party Committee, Dean Prof. WU Kechang, LIU Zhiyan, Deputy Party Secretary, WEI Xiaohong, Head of Department of Administrative Management, DU Weiwei, Secretary of Youth League Committee, and some graduate and undergraduate students of SPA (School of Public Administration) drove to HRSSB (Human Resources and Social Security Bureau) of Guangzhou Liwan District to attend the signing ceremony of the Joint Public Administration Teaching & Research Practice Base set up by two sides. The Bureau Director ZHENG Deben, Deputy Director ZHANG Chikai, WU Jingzhu and relevant personnel attended the ceremony.


Dean Prof. WU Kechang made a speech and pointed out that the public administration teaching and research will play an increasingly important role with the current state of development. He appreciated the demonstrative role the Liwan District plays and its unique advantage in the innovative development as well as the teaching and research explorations. He firmly believed that the joint public administration teaching and research practice base will effectively promote the development of the discipline and better serve the community by training and providing qualified personnel who are unities of knowledge and practice. Meanwhile, Wu also expressed the hope that students can take good advantage of the base to seize valuable internship opportunities and spare no efforts to upgrade the academic level and comprehensive abilities in practice.


Subsequently, Director ZHENG Deben briefly introduced the basic information about Liwan District and made a speech about this precious opportunity. He promised to strengthen the cooperation with SPA to insure the full usage of the base in order to achieve a win-win situation. At the following unveiling ceremony, on behalf of two sides, Dean Prof. WU Kechang and Director ZHENG Deben signed the contract and inaugurated the base.
