Laboratory of Basic Software and Application Structure Technology is a provincial innovative platform, supported by Guangdong Science and Technology Department, focusing on database, data warehouse, software architecture, concurrent computation and distributed computation. Currently in the teaching body there are 2 professors/doctoral supervisor, 3 associate professors and 1 lecturer, all of whom are doctors. Also there are 10 plus doctors and dozens of masters.

Several kinds of large researching and developing devices such as HP blade server, SUN880 server, Intel infrastructure multi-core server, logic analyzer and memory array are available.

The laboratory emphasizes innovative research and application transform of achievements in the field of computer software technology. Several theory and technical achievements were made and several national and industrial standards were drawn up.
