time: 2025-12-03

The 6th International Conference on Sensing, Measurement & Data Analytics in the Era of Artificial Intelligence (ICSMD 2025) was successfully held in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, from November 21 to 23. Co-organized by the IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Society, the Dynamic Signal Analysis Committee of the Chinese Society of Vibration Engineering, and the Guangdong Mechanical Engineering Society, the conference was hosted by South China University of Technology, with co-hosts including Xi'an Jiaotong University and Dongguan University of Technology. It aimed to showcase the latest research in sensing technology, measurement methodologies, and data analytics within the rapidly evolving AI era.

The conference featured 8 parallel forums focusing on topics such as advanced sensing technologies, explainable artificial intelligence, equipment fault diagnosis, and reliability and safety assurance. It attracted over 200 experts and scholars from countries including China, Singapore, the United States, Italy, and Germany. Authors of more than 100 papers shared their explorations and practices through oral presentations or poster sessions. In addition to core themes like sensing principles, multimodal sensing, wireless sensors, and measurement system design, dedicated sessions were held on AI-enabled prediction and health management for renewable energy systems and graph representation learning for industrial system prognostics and health management, further promoting the application of AI and novel theories and technologies in sensing, measurement, and signal analysis.
