Research Interests: Laser based additive manufacturing (3D printing) and welding;

Applications in medical devices and implants by use of 3D priting Tech.

Professor Yang Yongqiang have being carried out serious research work in Additive Manufacturing (also known as 3D printing), Laser Material Processing, Welding Equipment and Technology etc., successfully developed a domestic first set of selective laser melting Additive Manufacturing machine, directly manufacturing of metal parts and digital, networked, personalized, customized for the characteristics of the metal 3D printing technology application in the biomedical field.

Over the years to bear and participate in national, international cooperation, provincial and municipal scientific research projects more than 50. Published more than 220 academic papers, including more than and 120 papers SCI/EI. Authorized invention patents 25, 2 foreign patents, utility model patents 65.
