发光材料与器件国家重点实验室依托华南理工大学于2011年10月获批建设,2013年通过科技部建设期验收正式运行,同年评估优秀,2018年评估良好,于2025年1月通过科技部重组,改名称为发光材料与器件全国重点实验室。实验室主任是中国科学院院士马於光。
实验室面向新型发光与显示的国家战略需求,凝练领域共性基础科学问题,聚焦新材料和新技术,确保产业链安全可靠、核心技术自主可控,持续产出原创性、颠覆性显示材料与技术,引领未来显示发展,推动我国从显示大国发展到显示强国。研究方向为光电材料设计与理论、发光材料与器件、显示驱动与集成、光电成像与传感、先进激光光源五个方向。
实验室聚集和培养本领域高端人才,形成紧密合作的核心研究队伍。现有固定人员120人,拥有中国科学院院士2人,杰青15人,长江特聘教授4人,教育部长江讲席教授1人,国家海外高层次特聘教授1人,青年长江2人,优青11人,青年拔尖人才7人,海外优青21人。
依托单位为实验室提供了相对独立集中的科研场地,总面积达 20300 平方米,每年为实验室提供300万元运行经费。此外,实验室还配备了小角散射装置、激光分子外延系统、有机薄膜沉积系统、X 射线单晶衍射仪、固体核磁共振仪、HDMS 离子淌度高清质谱仪、飞秒激光器系统、生物多光谱光声断层扫描系统、低温扫描隧道显微镜系统、电子顺磁共振波谱仪、超宽带连续可调谐激光器等一批具有国际先进水平的科研仪器设备,总值超过3亿元。
The State Key Laboratory of Luminescent Materials and Devices (SKLLMD) wasapproved for the construction in October 2011, officially put into operation in2013 after passing the construction acceptance of the Ministry ofScience and Technology. InJanuary 2025, the reorganization of SKLLMD was approved by the Ministry ofScience and Technology.
The SKLLMD is oriented to the national strategicneeds of light-emitting and display technologies, with research directions infive areas:optoelectronicmaterial design and theory, luminescent materials and devices, display driveand integration, optoelectronic imaging and sensing, and advanced laser lightsources. The SKLLMD gathers high-end talents in the luminescence community and builds a closely-cooperative research team withabove 120permanent staff members. The laboratory has undertaken 17 major national keyresearch projects from the Ministry of Science and Technology, the NationalNatural Science Foundation of China, etc., with a total funding of 557 millionyuan, and produced a number of important achievements. It has won second prizesin the National Natural Science Award for two times, second prizes in theNational Technological Invention Award for two times, and 1 achievement wasselected as one of the Top Ten Advances in Chinese Science in 2012,5 papers were selected as one of the 100 most influential internationalacademic papers in China, and 5 papers were published in Nature in the periodof 2022~2025.
