The OLED/OPV 40th Anniversary International Symposium will be held at the Qingqing Wenli Building, Wushan Campus, South China University of Technology (SCUT).

Located beside the West Lake area of the historic Wushan Campus, the Qingqing Wenli Building provides an elegant and inspiring environment for scientific communication and academic exchange. The main scientific sessions will take place in the Qingqing Wenli Building Lecture Hall 108, which accommodates approximately 500 participants and is designed for large-scale academic conferences, lectures, and international forums.

The scientific sessions of the symposium will be hosted in Lecture Hall 108, the main conference auditorium of the Qingqing Wenli Building.

★ About Qingqing Wenli Building

A Symbol of Academic Heritage and Excellence

The Qingqing Wenli Building was officially named in recognition of the generous contribution of Ms. Qingqing Liao, an alumna of South China University of Technology. In September 2018, Ms. Liao (Class of 1963, Inorganic Materials Engineering) donated RMB 50 million to support high-level talent development and campus construction. In appreciation of this contribution, SCUT named Building No. 37 on the Wushan Campus as the Qingqing Wenli Building.

The name “Qingqing” carries a profound meaning in Chinese culture, representing the values of: “Integrity in character and purity in scholarship.” The spirit embodied by the Qingqing Wenli Building reflects the values of dedication, excellence, and continuous pursuit of knowledge — principles that closely resonate with the scientific journey of OLED and OPV over the past four decades.

Step 1. Major Transportation Hubs to SCUT Wushan Campus

The Wushan campus of SCUT can be conveniently accessed from major transportation hubs in Guangzhou.

Step 2. From SCUT South Gate to Qingqing Wenli Building

After entering SCUT through the South Gate, participants should follow the campus signs toward the western area of the campus. The Qingqing Wenli Building is located near the West Lake area of the campus.

★ From Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport (CAN)

Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport (Terminal 2 or Terminal 3) is the main international gateway to Guangzhou, with direct flights connecting major cities worldwide. The airport is 35–40 km from the symposium venue.

✔ Option 1: Taxi or ride-hailing services (Recommended)

 Taxi or ride-hailing is the most convenient option for international participants, especially with luggage. Recommended ride-hailing application is DiDi (滴滴出行).

Travel time: 45–60 minutes (depending on traffic conditions)

Estimated fare: RMB 100–150

Chinese destination: 华南理工大学五山校区清清文理楼

Participants are encouraged to show the Chinese destination above to the driver.

✔ Option 2: Metro

Guangzhou Metro provides an economical and reliable connection between the airport and SCUT Wushan Campus.

Recommended route: Take Guangzhou Metro Line 3 (the orange line) from Airport North Station (Terminal 2) toward Tiyu Xilu. At Tiyu Xilu Station, transfer to another Line 3 service toward Tianhe Coach Terminal, and get off at Wushan Station. Leave the station from Exit C and walk west for about 100 meters to the East Gate of SCUT Wushan Campus.

From Wushan Station: Exit through Exit C  → Enter SCUT Wushan Campus through the East Gate  → Follow the internal signs to Qingqing Wenli Building (Building No. 37)  

Total travel time: 60–75 minutes

★ From Guangzhou Railway Stations

Guangzhou is connected with major cities in China through an extensive high-speed railway network. Participants arriving by train may use the following transportation options.

✔ Option 1: From Guangzhou South Railway Station (广州南站)

Guangzhou South Railway Station is the largest high-speed railway hub in Guangzhou, with connections to Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Hong Kong, and other major cities.

Distance to venue: 25-30 km

Taxi or ride-hailing: 40–50 minutes

Metro: 60-75 minutes

Chinese destination: 华南理工大学五山校区清清文理楼

✔ Option 2: From Guangzhou East Railway Station (广州东站)

Guangzhou East Railway Station provides convenient access from cities including Shenzhen and Hong Kong.

Distance to venue: 5-6 km

Taxi or ride-hailing: 15–20 minutes

Metro: 20-30 minutes

Chinese destination: 华南理工大学五山校区清清文理楼

✔ Option 3: From Guangzhou Baiyun Railway Station (广州白云站)

Guangzhou Baiyun Railway Station is one of Guangzhou’s major railway hubs, providing high-speed railway services connecting Guangzhou with cities in Guangdong Province and other regions of China.

Distance to venue: 17-20 km

Taxi or ride-hailing: 25–35 minutes

Metro: 65-80 minutes

We recommend that international participants:

● Prepare the Chinese venue name before taking a taxi or ride-hailing

● Keep the map navigation links accessible on their mobile devices  

● Allow additional travel time during peak hours (typically morning and evening rush hours)  

● Carry the hotel address in both English and Chinese when traveling
