报告摘要：

Controlled release formulations have been widely applied to extend optimal therapeutic effect, improve patient compliance, reduce side effects and manage product life cycle. Due to the nature of the dosage forms, reproducibility of drug release profile presents itself as a critical quality attribute that should be tightly controlled for regulatory and clinical considerations for bioequivalence. Both the formulation and manufacturing process for controlled release formulations should be robust to produce a product with consistent quality and bioequivalence. In this presentation, the design considerations for oral controlled release formulations and associated manufacturing process will be reviewed with case studies based on coated pellets.

个人简介：

李建新博士在美国新泽西州辉陵(Ferring)国际制药科研中心从事制剂研发工作。他曾受聘于FMC BioPolymer(富美实制药项目经理) 、Evonik(赢创北美技术总监) 、Prinston Pharmaceutical(华海美国分公司研究员)。李建新博士是六组专利的发明者。他的技术专长包括药剂配方，药用辅料，新型给药系统，缓控制剂，功能包衣和药物增溶技术。李建新博士曾任美国制药科学家协会(AAPS)第41(2006)、43(2008)、45(2010)和48(2013)届阿登(制药技术)会议主席, 亚洲阿登(制药技术)会议第一、二、四届会议共同主席，美国制药科学家协会缓控制剂专业委员会主委(2005-2007)。他是第六至第九版英文版《药用辅料手册》的国际执委会会员，该手册深受世界各国制剂专业人员好评。他先后就读于天津大学、北京航空航天大学、多伦多大学，是美国制药科学家协会、美国化学会、国际缓控释学会和美中医药开发协会的会员。
