报告简介:

The field of organic semiconductors and perovskites has developed rapidly in recent years from fundamental laboratory discovery into a significant materials and manufacturing technology for a range of thin-film electronics applications including displays, solar cells, transistors and sensors. While innovation in the new semiconductor materials and processing techniques continues to improve the performance of organic and perovskites devices, further research is still required to gain crucial insights into their stability. In this talk, I will highlight the key advances on our understanding in the stability of organic and perovskite materials and devices. First, I will focus on non-fullerene acceptors (NFAs). NFAs provide an exciting alternative to traditional fullerene containing organic photovoltaics and are already out-competing fullerenes in terms of device efficiency. I will show how minor changes in the chemical structures of NFAs can cause significant changes in their photostability, and hence device performance. Second, I will present our recent results of perovskites-based photovoltaic devices identifying the origins of different open circuit voltages and their potential loss mechanisms in conventional and inverted device structures. Throughout my talk, I will discuss the potential design rules for stable molecules and devices.
