Dr. Peng Shi, Professor, recipient of the National Excellent Young Scientists Fund, and Principal Investigator of the National Key R&D Program Youth Project. He obtained his Ph.D. from the Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, in 2016. From 2016 to 2020, he conducted postdoctoral research in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Pennsylvania State University, USA. In September 2020, he joined the School of Biomedical Sciences and Engineering at South China University of Technology as a professor and Ph.D. supervisor. Professor Shi is dedicated to developing chemical modification-based cell engineering technologies. As the first or corresponding author, he has published 13 papers in internationally renowned academic journals such as Nat Commun (3), Angew Chem Int Ed (3), Adv Mater, and Mater Today. He has led several research projects, including the National Key R&D Program Youth Project, the National Excellent Young Scientists Fund, and the National Natural Science Foundation of China General Program. He also serves as a youth editorial board member for Exploration and Chinese Chemical Letters.
